Enis Güler ("we," "us," or "our") respects the privacy of our users ("user" or "you"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our mobile application Grove (the "App").

We collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect via the App depends on the content and materials you use, and includes:

Personal Data

Identifiers: We collect User IDs (such as account IDs) and Device IDs. This data is linked to your identity and is used for App Functionality and Account Management.

Health & Fitness Data: We collect health and medical data, as well as fitness and exercise data, to track your progress and provide personalized AI recommendations.

Contact Information: If you contact us for support, we collect your name and email address.

User Content

To provide the App's core functionality—specifically the AI-generated responses for product counts and barcode scanning—we collect the following user-generated content:

  • Photos or Videos: Used when you scan barcodes or products.
  • Audio Data: Used if you utilize voice features to interact with the App.
  • Text Input: Any text prompts you enter for AI processing.

Usage and Diagnostics

  • Usage Data: We collect information on how you interact with the App, such as product interaction (taps, clicks, feature usage).
  • Diagnostics: We collect crash data and performance data (such as launch times and battery usage) to improve the stability of the App.

2. How We Use Your Information

Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. We use information collected about you via the App to:

  • App Functionality: Create and manage your account, authenticate your identity (via Supabase), and enable core features like barcode scanning.
  • Product Personalization: Use AI algorithms to generate responses regarding product counts and health suggestions based on your input.
  • Analytics: Specific usage data to understand how users interact with the App to improve the user experience.
  • Customer Support: Respond to your inquiries and solve any potential issues.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with third parties for their advertising purposes.

3. Disclosure of Your Information

We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations. Your information may be disclosed as follows:

Third-Party Service Providers

We share your information with third parties that perform services for us or on our behalf, including:

  • Supabase: We use Supabase for backend database hosting, user authentication, and AI processing services.
  • RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage subscription data and purchase history.
  • Sentry: We use Sentry to collect diagnostic crash logs and performance data to fix bugs.

Payment Processing

We do not store your financial information (such as credit card numbers). All financial transactions are handled by the Apple App Store. We obtain limited information about your subscription status via RevenueCat to unlock premium features within the App.

4. Data Retention

We will strictly retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

5. Security of Your Information

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.

Depending on your location (including users in Turkey/KVKK and Europe/GDPR), you may have the following rights:

  • Access: The right to request copies of your personal data.
  • Rectification: The right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate.
  • Deletion: The right to request that we delete your personal data (delete your account).

7. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly solicit information from or market to children under the age of 13. If you become aware that any data has been collected from children under age 13, please contact us using the contact information provided below.

8. Controls for Do-Not-Track Features

Most mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. No uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online.
